Stranger's wrath in particular has themes of Prejudice, Unfair society, the privatisation of natural resources, the exploitation of indigenous peoples, displacement, environmental degradation, corporate greed, and even the increasing cost of healthcare in America.
Understanding the Ending- Like all Oddworld games, Stranger's Wrath has themes pertaining to many real issues today. The player gets the Dirty Water achievement. Wolvark Secret Entrance- In the second half of the game, around the dock area, Stranger can access a secret entrance to Wolvark Barracks. This is only in the HD version of the game and was probably implemented as promotion for the then upcoming Oddworld: New n Tasty. Meat Barrels- I believe this refers to an easter egg in the game where some of the barrels along the Mongo River spill out packaged Mudokon Pops upon being broken. Clakker children are also seen prominently in Concept art for the game. Within this "Black Market", Stranger can purchase several items that would be otherwise unobtainable at that point in the game such as upgraded ammo types.Ĭlakker Kids- Right after the infamous de-pantsing scene, while Stranger escapes New Yolk City, young Clakkers can be seen fleeing from the ensuing chaos.
